Reading

november issue, Psychology Today
There’s two great articles I’ve came across recently. One is the flagship article and cover of the November issue of Psychology Today, which is about everyday creativity and how to free up the mental capacity to keep ideas flowing without unconscious restraint (or conscious restraint, for that matter). It is a really inspirational read, and oftentimes gets me going. A must read. I bought the magazine from King Fort earlier this week, which is a great magazine shop if you’re ever in downtown Honolulu. Fortunately, there’s an online version as well.
The other article is about learning as much as you can, striving towards being a homo universalis, a renaissance man. Information overload will lead to information synergies, and you can only benefit from learning everything you can. Besides, you’ll never be at a loss of conversational material as well either, haha. Be proactive!
Normally I like to quote the great lines from things I read, but there’s just too many. Here are the links:
And yes, I do mull about psychology, because it does have inherent stake in marketing, branding, advertising, the human condition, et cetera. It helps to put things in perspective in this universe.
